The Second Annual Crawfish Mambo Cookoff and Music Festival will take place at The Cove from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013. Tickets are available for purchase now online and will soon be available through the UNO Federal Credit Union and most First NBC Bank locations in New Orleans. Ticket prices are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the festival. Admission includes an all day, all-star musical lineup -- Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Rockin Dopsie Jr. and the Zydeco Twisters, New Orleans Nightcrawlers, Glen David Andrews, Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue, and our own UNO All Stars – along with all-you-can-eat crawfish from 20 or more boiling teams who are competing for the “Best of the Boil” title.

Crawfish Mambo is the UNO International Alumni Association’s annual fundraiser, and proceeds from the festival support initiatives that engage our alumni inserving current UNO students. Last year’s inaugural festival attracted morethan 1,500 attendees and the Alumni Association hopes to double that figure. For more information, to register a boiling team, purchase tickets online, or volunteer at the event, please visit www.crawfishmambo.com or like the Facebook page at Facebook.com/CrawfishMambo.

The UNO International Alumni Association hopes to make Crawfish Mambo part of the New Orleans festival canon not just for the UNO Community but for the entire greater New Orleans region to enjoy.
