Greater New Orleans Writing Project Presents WriteFest 2013
Professional development conference focuses on writing and the Common Core
The Greater New Orleans Writing Project (GNOWP) at the University of New Orleans invites teachers, literacy professionals and school administrators to WriteFest 2013, an all-day conference focused on writing, creativity and the Common Core. WriteFest will be held on January 26 from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Lindy Boggs International Conference Center and will feature Louisiana’s leading teachers, as well as nationally-renowned educator Barry Lane.
Teachers or administrators interested in registering to attend WriteFest should visit their website. Early bird registration is $50 for students and groups of three or more teachers from one school and $55 for individuals. After January 12, registration is $65 for all attendees. Participants in the conference will receive a certificate for four Continuing Learning Units (CLUs).
